“Tenor Matthew Garrett sang with intelligence and dignity as Belmonte.”—the June 2008 review in the Hartford Courant refers to the dynamic young American tenor, whose charismatic presence and elegant musicianship have already won him international recognition. His poised, confident tone has been heard on opera, oratorio, and recital stages, often under the guidance of some of the world’s foremost conductors.
Engagements in the 2007-2008 season include Syracuse Opera, Connecticut Opera, Glimmerglass Opera, the Ashland Symphony, the Grand Tour Orchestra, the AXIOM Ensemble, the Miller Theater at Columbia University, Joy in Singing, and the Jours des Arts festival in Montreux, Switzerland.
Matthew Garrett is a rostered artist with Pinnacle Arts Management, Stafford-Law Associates, and the Swiss Global Artistic Foundation.
